The Rev. John Inserra to Become
Assistant Rector
I am pleased to announce that I have called John Inserra to serve as Assistant Rector of St. Paul’s Church and School. John will begin his duties at St. Paul’s on July 6.
A native of Buffalo, John is a magna cum laude graduate of Canisius College and received his Master of Divinity degree cum laude from Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary in May. He will be ordained Deacon in his home Diocese of Albany, New York on June 5. As a “transitional” deacon, John will be engaged in the ministries of preaching, teaching and pastoral care, while preparing for his ordination to the Priesthood later this year.
John brings extensive experience in youth ministry and Christian education to St. Paul’s, especially in leading adult and youth versions of the popular Alpha program. While sharing in the full duties of priestly ministry at St. Paul’s, John will lead St. Paul’s ministry to children, youth and young families, both at the Church and School.
While at Nashotah House, Sarah led a ministry to spouses of seminarians and the Nashotah House Youth Group.
John and Sarah will move here in mid-June. The Church and School are planning several welcome events for the Inserra’s this summer. If you are interested in hosting or assisting with an event, please contact Lori Lavelle, Executive Administrator of the Parish at llavelle@stpauls-lakeview.org.
